Dawson Stroud is a member of the National Senior Beta and Monogram Clubs.  He played basketball and baseball during his time at HA.  In Dawson’s spare time, he enjoys practicing basketball and baseball, going to the lake, and spending time with friends.  He has worked for Merritt Piping and Fabrication, Inc. 

Dawson plans to attend Halifax Community College in the fall.  Dawson lives in Roanoke Rapids.  He is the son of Susan Salmon and Hugh Stroud. 

 

Zack White is a member of the Monogram Club.  He played football and basketball during his time at HA.  Zack received All-Conference Recognition in football and was named to the All-Tournament Team in basketball during his senior year.  Zack enjoys playing golf and Spikeball and spending with friends.  He works for the Fitts Family Farm. 

 Zack plans to attend North Carolina State University’s Agricultural Institute in the fall.  He lives in Littleton and is the son of Beth Fitts and Joey White.  His older brother, Jake, graduated from HA. 

 

Ray Garner is a member of the National Senior Beta Club.  He has been actively involved in our Student Government Association throughout high school, currently serving as senior class president and color guard team member.  Ray is the business manager for our journalism class, which creates the yearbook.   He also is president of the Octagon Club and was on the Quiz Bowl team.  He has been instrumental in revitalizing our greenhouse project.   Ray ran cross country in the nine grade. 

 Ray enjoys gardening, cooking, and antique shopping.  He has developed a special relationship with a local elderly lady and enjoys visiting with her, shopping for her groceries, and doing various jobs for her.  Ray works for Garner Family Farms. 

 In the fall, Ray plans to attend Pitt Community College and study Horticulture Technology and Greenhouse Production.  Ray is the son of Janice and Ray Garner from Roanoke Rapids. His sister, Elizabeth, is an HA graduate. 

Kate Forsht is a member of the National Senior Beta and Monogram Clubs. She has been the Octagon Club’s historian for the past two years. She has been actively involved in our Student Government Association throughout high school, currently serving as our student body president. Kate also has been on the Quiz Bowl team in grades 9-12. She ran cross country, swam, and played soccer for HA. She received All-Conference recognition in swim.
 
Kate enjoys spending time with friends. She is a certified lifeguard, having worked at the Chockoyotte Country Club, and is currently employed by the Roanoke Rapids Aquatic Center. Kate volunteered with packaging meals for Haiti.
Kate plans to attend North Carolina State University in the fall and major in Communications. She is the daughter of Christie and Bo Forsht from Roanoke Rapids. Her older sister, Holly, is a graduate of HA.

Wesley Boerner is a member of the National Senior Beta and Monogram Clubs.  He ran cross country and played basketball and baseball during his time at HA.  Wesley received All-Conference recognitions in both cross country and basketball.  He enjoys playing golf, fishing, eating, and spending time with friends.  Wesley works for Merritt Piping and Fabrication, Inc.

 In the fall, Wesley plans to attend Wake Technical Community College and study Facility Maintenance Technology.  He lives in Littleton.  Wesley is the son of Holly and W.C. Jones and Larry Boerner.  His siblings are Lydia, Emersyn, Eli, Courtney, and Jessie.
