Taylor is excited to join the Halifax Academy family!  Born and raised in Roanoke Rapids, she graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 2020 and recently earned a Bachelor's in Biology from UNC-Chapel Hill this past May.  Her time as a teacher's helper at Carolina Friends School ignited a passion for teaching that she is eager to bring to her new role here.  Growing up in a large family has always kept her surrounded by kids.  Taylor is excited to share her love of learning with her students.  You'll likely find Taylor reading, fishing or catching a movie outside the classroom.  Here's to an amazing year ahead!

When school starts, you won't find Mrs. Long in the library as usual.  Instead, she'll spend most of her day in the gym or outside because she's now the Health and Physical Education teacher.  But don't worry; she's still taking care of all her responsibilities as Halifax Academy's Athletic Director.  We're grateful for her continued dedication to Halifax Academy and excited to see her thrive in this new role.

Scott and Renee have two children: Carrie, 22, a Senior at ECU studying Elementary Education, and Caleb, 17, a Senior at Roanoke Rapids High School.  The Hall family is excited to join the Halifax Academy community.

Natalie Watts Lee graduated from Halifax Academy in 2019 and pursued her Early Childhood Credentials at Nash Community College.  She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jeremy Lee, and in February of 2024, they welcomed their son, Sutton, to the family.  Together, they love spending time with all of their family and just being Sutton's mom and dad.  "Miss Natalie", as she is affectionately known, is looking forward to returning as Mrs. Patsy's assistant after taking a one year break.  Welcome back Natalie!
