Halifax Academy Class of 2024 Senior Spotlight:
Daniel Mumford is the son of Cindy and Keith Mumford of Seaboard. He has two older siblings, Victoria and Stacy. Daniel was a Halifax Academy Shooting Team member in grades 9 & 10. He works for 4D Farms. Daniel enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time. Upon high school graduation, Daniel plans to work. Congratulations to Daniel on your upcoming graduation.
Halifax Academy Class of 2024 Senior Spotlight:
Congratulations to Mayson Daniels on recently being named class valedictorian. Mayson is a member of the National Senior Beta, Monogram, and Octagon Clubs. She also is a member of our Student Government Association and currently serves as senior class president. She had the distinction of being our lead junior marshal. Mayson played varsity volleyball in grades 10-12 and softball in grades 9-11. She was on the homecoming court in grades 10 &12. Mayson was recently crowned prom queen.
In Mayson’s spare time, she enjoys fishing, watching and listening to live music, and spending time with friends at the lake and beach. She also assists with property management and house cleaning for Lake Gaston Vacation Homes.
Mayson plans to attend Appalachian State University in the fall. She is undecided on a major but excited to explore career options. Mayson currently lives in Littleton and is the daughter of Kacie and Dustin Daniels. She has one younger brother, Tucker.

Joshua “Josh” Cullom is the son of Josh and Paula Cullom from Roanoke Rapids. He has one younger brother, Justin. During the summers, Josh has worked for his family business, Cullom Paving Company. In Josh’s spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends. Josh plans to attend Halifax Community College in the fall and pursue a degree in Industrial Systems Technology. Congratulations, Josh!

We are happy that Alexander “Alex” Capps joined the Halifax Academy family at the beginning of his junior year of high school. He is a National Senior Beta Club member and has enjoyed participating in the Garden Club during his time at HA. In Alex's spare time, he enjoys watching hockey, listening to music, and gardening. Alex plans to attend Appalachian State University in the fall and is considering a biology major. He lives in Littleton. Alex is the son of Jenifer Capps and Jason Capps.
Halifax Academy Class of 2024 Senior Spotlight:
We begin our Senior Spotlight series for the Halifax Academy Class of 2024 with Braxton Bennett Hammack. Braxton is a member of the Monogram Club. He lettered in football and baseball and received All-Conference and All-State Recognitions in both. He was also selected for the North Carolina/Virginia 8-Man Football All-Star Game.
Braxton enjoys hunting, golfing, and playing sports in his spare time. He has especially enjoyed playing travel baseball since he was a child. Braxton has worked for his family’s business, Quality Landscape Solutions, for the past six years, most recently as a crew leader. Upon graduation, Braxton plans to work full-time with the family’s landscaping business. Braxton is the son of Cortney and Jeremy Hammack. His older sister is Karlee, and his younger brother is Connor. Congratulations, Braxton!
