Dana Wommack has been a dedicated teacher assistant for the second and third grades at Halifax Academy for ten years.  Before her full-time role, she was a substitute teacher for two years, totaling 12 years with the school.  Dana treasures her time with the children, saying they keep her young and bring her joy as she watches them grow.  Outside of school, Dana loves gardening, spending time with her husband and daughters, Madelyn and Emmeline, shopping with her girls and cooking for her family.

Dana's favorite Bible verse is

Proverbs 31:25

"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come."

This verse was painted by her daughter Madelyn for Dana when her mother passed away.

Mackenzie Newsome serves as HA's dedicated cafeteria manager.  Having previously been part of the cafeteria staff, she cherishes the Christian values of the school.  The fact that her daughter, Brylee, attends and loves Halifax Academy deepens her connection to our school.

In her free time, Mackenzie enjoys family time, watching weekend softball, shopping and doing whatever brings joy to her loved ones.

Mackenzie's favorite Bible verse

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

Robin Carter has been a valued member of Halifax Academy for seven years.  She currently serves as a first-grade assistant and has also worked as a kindergarten assistant.  Robin loves the small class sizes at Halifax Academy, which allow for more individualized attention and a stronger sense of community.  She admires how each teacher genuinely cares about every child, not just those in their classroom, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for all students.

Robin cherishes the friendships she has formed with her fellow teachers and values the lifelong friendships that students build at Halifax Academy.  Robin enjoys spending quality moments with her children and grandson in her spare time.  She also loves hanging out with friends and spending time at the beach, where she finds relaxation and joy.

Robins' favorite Bible verse is

John 13:7

Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."
