Halifax Academy Class of 2024 Senior Spotlight:
Berkley Garner is a member of the Monogram and Octagon Clubs. She is also a member of our Student Government Association and serves as senior class secretary. Berkley played volleyball and softball during her time at HA and received All-Conference and All-State recognitions in both sports since the eighth grade. She also was a member of the HA swim team in grades 7-10. Berkley had the distinction of being our 2023 homecoming queen.
Outside of school, Berkley enjoys playing sports, riding four-wheelers, fishing, shopping, painting, tanning, wake surfing, and spending time at the lake and beach. Berkley also played travel softball from ages 6 to 14. She is a certified lifeguard and has worked for the pool in Jackson for the past three summers. Berkley also worked for Creative Designs.
Berkley plans to attend Wake Technical Community College in the fall and pursue a nursing degree. She is getting a jump start on her education by taking the certified nursing assistant course at Halifax Community College this summer. Berkley looks forward to caring for others' health needs as she pursues a career in the medical field. Berkley is the daughter of Crystal and Mark Garner of Pleasant Hill. She has one older sister, Ashton.
