Families will have an annual work hour requirement, the amount of time as denoted in the signed annual contracts. Families will have the option to work these required work hours, pay an amount as designated by their contract in lieu of the required work hours, or work and pay for the required amount as designated in their contract. All families must work or pay. The work period is from January 1 through December 31. No worksheets will be accepted after December 31 of the current year.

Work must be performed on school premises or, if a project, the project must be returned to the school grounds when completed. Unless approved by the Board of Trustees, only parents, legal guardians, their children sixteen (16) or older (currently enrolled), and grandparents have the authority to work for families that have committed to working their required hours.

Worksheets must be signed (full name) by one of the following: a Patron Association officer, a Membership Chairman, an Athletic Council member, the Headmaster, a Board of Trustees Member, Assistant Headmaster, or Athletic Director

Your school calendar will show all athletic events. Each event will have an area chairman that is responsible for recruiting workers. Please select an event you would like to work and call the number shown under the area chairman's name.

Also, you will receive a list of the area chairmen in your patrons packet. Your representative coincides with the first letter of your last name. That person is your main contact when searching for work hour opportunities.

2022-2023 Halifax Academy Patron Officers
