Morgan Powers is a member of the National Senior Beta Club.  He participates in our Student Government Association as senior class treasurer.  Morgan played football during his time at HA.  He also was the captain of the shooting team.  In Morgan’s spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and building various projects at home.  Morgan works for 4D Farms. 

Morgan plans to attend Wake Technical Community College in the fall and study diesel and heavy equipment technology.  He is the son of Melissa Powers and Joseph Power from Littleton.  Morgan has one older sister, Julia, who graduated from HA. 

 

Halifax Academy Class of 2023 Senior Spotlight:  Ashton Knight

Ashton Knight is a member of our Student Government Association and serves as a senior class representative and color guard team member. She also is in the Monogram and Octagon Clubs. During Ashton’s time at HA, she played softball and volleyball and received All-Conference recognition in softball last year. Ashton is on our journalism staff, helping create the yearbook. For the past two years, Ashton has enjoyed her experience as a kindergarten helper. She is also looking forward to her summer job as a childcare provider. Ashton received the DAR Good Citizen Award, which recognizes high school seniors who display dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time on the lake.

Ashton plans to attend Halifax Community College in the fall and pursue a career as a dental hygienist. She lives in Littleton and is the daughter of Shannon Knight and Brent Knight. She has one younger brother, Challis. 

Elizabeth Williams is a member of the National Senior Beta, Octagon, and Monogram Clubs. She also serves as senior class vice president and color guard team member for our Student Government Association. Elizabeth played volleyball throughout her time at HA.
 
In Elizabeth’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and taking long drives. She is a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
 
Elizabeth plans to attend Meredith College in the fall and pursue a degree in biology. She is the daughter of Deana and Heath Williams from Pendleton. She has one older brother, Heath, who graduated from Halifax Academy.
Jaxson “Jax” Waters is a member of the Monogram and Octagon Clubs. He ran cross country in grades 9-12. Outside of school, Jax enjoys participating in water sports and playing golf, guitar, and video games.
 
Jax plans to attend East Carolina University in the fall and pursue a degree in Computer Science. He is the son of Lisa and Jonathan Waters from Littleton. Jax has one older sister, Taylor.

Jack Quinn is a member of the National Senior Beta and Monogram Clubs. He played football during his time at HA. Jack also is a member of HA’s shooting team. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time on the lake with friends in his spare time. Jack is a member of the Davie Volunteer Fire Department. He has worked for the Roanoke Rapids Theatre for the past three years. Jack also worked for Lake Gaston Jet Ski, Powersports, and Marine this past summer.

Jack plans to attend Wake Technical Community College in the fall and study Facility Maintenance Technology. Jack lives in Roanoke Rapids. He is the son of Lisa and Billy Allen and Bryan Quinn.
