The list of Athletic Council Members that was sent home in the packets is incorrect. Please click on "Athletics" on our webpage to see the correct list.

The 2010 "Dylan Moore Day"Celebration will be Saturday, September 18th. It is a benefit fair and fun horse show at the Halifax County 4-H Horse & Livestock Complex in Halifax. The fun begins at 4:00 and the horse show begins at 6:00. BBQ Plates will be available at 4:00 also. The plates cost $7 and take out plates will be available.

This event is sponsored by "Tuff Riders" 4-H Club, Dylan Moore Family, Halifax County Cooperative Extension, & the Halifax County Sr. Beta and Octagon Clubs.

Proceeds and Donations will go to T.W. Chambliss. Mr. Chambliss taught at Halifax Academy and is currently fighting Cancer.

Dylan Day T-shirts will also be sold. You may buy a BBQ Plate ticket or place a T-shirt order with any Halifax Academy Sr. Beta member, Octagon member, Mrs. Cavnar or Mrs. Little.

The school picture make-up date (including the Seniors) will be September 29th.

The school calendar shows Presidents' Day on February 21. However, it does not say that school is closed. Halifax Academy WILL BE CLOSED for Presidents' Day.
